Sample Specification:
The silencer shall be a Maxim Model VT-1 absorptive type silencer with inlet flow diffuser. Acoustical packing shall be long strand glass-fiber protected with a facing of glass-fiber cloth, wire screen, and perforated material. The silencer shall be of all welded construction with exterior surfaces protected with a single coat of shop primer. It shall be supplied with the following accessories:

Use for the highest degree of silencing of high frequency noise associated with steam or gas vents. The VT-3 provides the maximum noise reduction that can be practically obtained.

Use for excellent silencing of high frequency noise associated with steam or gas vents. The VT-2 is shorter and more economical than the VT-3.

VT-1 - Atmospheric Vent Silencer for Good Attenuation of High Frequency Noise – Expected Attenuation is 35 to 40 dBA

Use for impressive silencing of high frequency noise associated with steam or gas vents. The VT-1 has a very high performance to cost ratio. Installation of the VT-1 on a high pressure safety valve discharge will satisfy any concerns regarding worker safety or OSHA noise compliance.

For relatively small vent applications, the VT-S offers impressive silencing of the noise associated with steam or gas vents. The VT-S has a very high performance to cost ratio.
